FIDDLER ON THE ROOF

TUESDAYS WITH MORRIE

Based off the book written by Mitch Albom, the story follows the real-life relationship between Professor Morrie Schwartz and student Mitch, who form a strong bond during school. Once Mitch graduates, life happens, and he doesn’t think about his professor until he sees Morrie on television talking about having ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis), also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease, a life-threatening progressive neurodegenerative disease. Shortly after that, Mitch decides to visit Morrie, and what was just a one-time trip, turns into a weekly visit to chronicle the last moments of Morrie’s life, in which he imparts wisdom and words to live by.

GENTLEMEN’S GUIDE TO LOVE & MURDER

The musical revolves around Montague, or Monty, an amiable young Brit who discovers a dark family secret following his dear mother’s death. The woman never revealed that because she married Monty’s musician father, she was disinherited from the family D’Ysquith, a name that in the play’s Edwardian setting is synonymous with wealth, property and influence. Monty writes a letter to one of the relatives and attempts to get a job. When he’s told to get lost, he decides to collect his inheritance by offing the eight cousins that stand in his way of becoming Earl of Highhurst.
