Rockwall Children’s Playhouse (RCP) at Rockwall Community Playhouse (RCP)
RCP at RCP After School Academy believes the future of community theater depends on identifying, nurturing and developing the talents of children. No matter what future endeavors children pursue, experience onstage prepares them for confident communication before a wide range of audiences.

The Spring and Fall children’s theatre mini production introduces students to theatre basics, as well as how to learn and produce a complete show! Classes during the school year meet on Thursdays from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. for children grades 1st – 5th, and Fridays from 4:30 – 6:30 p.m. for grades 6th-8th. This unique program provides educational opportunities along with a stage performance for parents and community. Perfect for the developing actor to experience the entire production process, including audition, rehearsal, stage movement, acting techniques, and the performance. A mini production session is conducted in the fall and in the spring. Not quite ready for the limelight? This venue also allows participation and valuable experience in the ‘behind the scenes’ activities for the future theatre buff. Performances for family and friends will be held at the end of the rehearsal period.
