Teen Theater
RCP's Teen Theater program gives the talented students of the Rockwall area an opportunity to rehearse and perform their own production each summer.  This program focuses on performance opportunities for young people, highlighting their unique style and energy, while preparing them for later community theatre participation.  Many of our teens have gone on to perform in larger shows and bigger venues.  We regularly hear from past participants how their involvement in RCP shaped their performance skills and built lasting memories.

Each year, RCP awards a scholarship to graduating seniors to further their education in the fine arts in college.

Camp Broadway After School Academy
RCP believes the future of community theatre depends on identifying, nurturing and developing the talents of children.  No matter what future endeavors children pursue, experience onstage prepares them for confident communication before a wide range of audiences. RCP provides several venues to help develop young talent: Acting Classes, Musical Theatre, and Mini-Productions.

ASA Acting Classes
Acting classes meet weekly, and provide students with fundamentals of theatre etiquette, blocking, acting techniques, terminology, improvisation, monologue study, projection and more.  We welcome students new to the stage, as well as those developing their ongoing acting skills.

ASA Children's Musical Theatre Classes
Like the acting classes, Musical Theatre builds core skills every actor needs, along with an emphasis on musical production.  Students learn songs, choreography, and history of musical theatre.  Improvisation, rhythm, theatre games, and group exercises build confidence and coordination while kids have fun.

ASA Mini-Productions
Every child deserves the chance to perform for an audience.  This unique program provides educational opportunities along with a stage performance for parents and community.  Perfect for the developing actor to experience the entire production process, including audition, rehearsal, stage movement, acting techniques, and the performance.  Not quite ready for the limelight?  This venue also allows participation and valuable experience in the 'behind the scenes' activities for the future theatre buff.
