Synopsis: How daunting it must be to know that you are always at a disadvantage, that so many things are happening beyond your control and even your comprehension, that nearly everyone you meet is faster, smarter, more capable than you, and that you are often at the mercy of cruel people. This very funny, yet touching play by author Tom Griffin focuses on the lives of four men with disabilities who live in a communal residence under the watchful eye of a sincere, but increasingly despairing social worker. Mingled with scenes from the daily lives of these men are moments of great poignancy, when we are reminded that disabilities are relative and that we all want only to love and laugh and find meaning and purpose in the brief time we are given.
